Best Integration With A Third Party Application!
Every year, Viewpoint asks for examples of companies using technology in creative ways to solve a business problem and awards the best solution a Rock Solid Technology Award.  Integration of a Third Party App occurs when Viewpoint does not perform a function and company needs to develop a way to connect it with another software service.
Stansell Electric Company needed a way to increase our survey response rate and listen to the feedback from our customer to ensure that our short term financial goals and long term customer relationship goals are aligned for sustainable success. We had outgrown a paper survey process, so we worked with Keystyle Data Solutions to integrate Viewpoint with Survey Monkey for a more automated process.  Our solution automatically notifies PMs and coordinators of when surveys may need to be sent and when they are received while still allowing the input of paper survey responses.  Since the data is stored in the system, it is easily included in our standard reporting environment.  By winning the award, Stansell received a free registration to the 2016 Viewpoint Conference in Portland, OR and an opportunity to present our solution to other companies.  In recognition of her efforts in leading the project, Lauren Brooks will be attending the conference to join in the presentation of the Survey solution and attend events that will showcase features and strategies available to make life in Vista easier for our project managers.

Stansell Electric has won the 2015 AGC Award for the Subcontractor $500,000 – $1 Million Project Category for its performance of all electrical installation work at the new Tennessee headquarters of Renasant Bank.  This installation included power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm and all low voltage rough-in including voice, data, security and a/v.  Congratulations to Project Manager Anthony Sousa, General Superintendent Jason Fyke, Lead Foreman Derek Gibson and the rest of their team for making this such a successful project.

A big thank you goes out to all the Stansell Electric Employees that contributed to the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program this year. Due to an unprecedented amount of participation, Stansell Electric was able to provide Christmas presents for 16 children who otherwise wouldn’t have had gifts under the tree on Christmas morning. Contributions were at an all-time high this year and we look forward to breaking that record again next year.

The Greater Tennessee Chapter of the Associated Builders & Contractors (www.abctennessee.com) recently awarded Stansell Electric Company the 2014 Award of Excellence in the Infrastructure/Heavy Division for its work on Phase I of the Hillsboro Road Streetscape project in Franklin, TN.  This phase encompassed a number of enhancements including updated traffic and pedestrian signals, decorative street lighting, decorative walls, lighted business signs, sidewalks, brick crosswalks, bike lanes, effective storm water and sewer systems, relocating overhead utility services to underground, new electrical services to businesses, new traffic lanes, bicycle lanes, and sidewalks.  Congratulations to Project Manager Brad Norris and his team who worked tirelessly to complete this prestigious project!

The Intelligent Transportation Society of Tennessee (www.itstn.org) recently honored Jimmy Stansell as its “ITS Champion” for the year 2013.  The title “ITS Champion” is bestowed upon the person who provides “outstanding leadership in the advancement of Intelligent Transportation Systems in Tennessee”.  Jimmy has spent many years working as a part of the Intelligent Transportation Society of Tennessee to make Tennessee’s transportation system safer, more efficient and environmentally sound through the increased use of ITS Technology.

As of July 31, 2014, Stansell Electric Company completed the asset sale of its Security Division to KST, formerly Koorsen Security Technology (www.kstsecurity.com).  By transferring the ownership of the division to KST, Stansell established a business relationship with a highly-qualified business partner while enabling the company to focus on its core electrical markets – transportation, infrastructure, commercial, industrial and data communications.  All employees primarily associated with Stansell’s security division transitioned to employment with KST.

At the annual Associated Builders & Contractors awards banquet in November, Stansell Electric was honored with the Award of Excellence for both the VA Research Lab Renovation Project (Electrical-Commercial/Institutional Under $2 Million) and the Fort Campbell Battalion Brigade Headquarters Project (Electrical-Commercial/Institutional $2 Million – $10 Million).  Founded in 1971, the Middle Tennessee branch of ABC is the largest commercial construction organization in this area serving general contractors, specialty contractors, suppliers and associate members.  Stansell Electric is grateful for the recognition of its hard work and dedication in providing excellence in electrical contracting throughout Middle Tennessee and beyond.

Stansell Electric is proud to have been one of the contributors to the expansion project at Daystar Counseling Ministries.  Having recently completed a new parking/pavilion area at their counseling office in Nashville, TN, Stansell was able to provide Daystar with lighting for the parking area as well as decorative and walkway lighting.

Daystar Counseling Ministries, Inc. offers counseling to kids and families in the Middle Tennessee area. Daystar offers both individual and group counseling for children, adolescents, families, and young adults. Counseling services are provided on a sliding scale.

Stansell Electric Company is proud to be hosting author and instructor Charles Miller, who will be giving a presentation entitled “OSHA/NFPA 70E – Arc Flash Hazards – The Rules to Live (or Stay Alive) By”.  The presentation will take place on Thursday, February 21 from 10 am – 11:30am and will be followed by a catered lunch.
