Middle Tennessee Medical Center

With explosive population growth approaching 60%, the operators of Middle Tennessee Medical Center (MTMC) knew that the need for a new hospital to handle increased volume was inevitable. They also knew the challenges of future proofing would be a major consideration in the construction of such a large facility. To keep up with ever-changing healthcare needs within the surrounding community, MTMC deployed only best-in-class technology. To meet the challenges of design and implementation of the new hospital, MTMC selected Stansell Electric as the healthcare technology integrator of choice.

  • Computerized nurse call, networked and highly intuitive consisting of 33 master stations and all related devices for entire facility
  • Real time locating system for tracking patients, staff and equipment; adds efficient automation to normal hospital procedures by improving the response time and execution of written orders
  • Intercom system for critical areas including the operating rooms, c-section rooms and supporting areas.
  • Zoned public address system available building-wide and serving all public areas

Stansell’s work in the new 268 bed medical building included several systems designed for seamless operation, maximum staff efficiency and patient comfort. The final design included integration of new nurse call, real time locating and wireless telephone systems, with a tie in to legacy hospital information systems as required by the facility operators.
